Are You Between Doors?

Sunday at Bellingham Center for Spiritual Living the new spiritual leader, Rev. Andrea referenced the often quoted spiritual principle: “When one door closes, another opens.” Then she added, “What they didn’t tell you about is the hall…….  It has lots of unopened doors, is long, barely lit with one 40W bulb and there are these boxes to be gotten around with labels on them like doubt, fear, confusion, frustration, etc.”
Boy is that true for me at this time. I recently moved from an island where I had lived for over 18 years. At times I am definitely confronted by these very boxes. Yet, I can also say that many amazing co-incidents (cooperating incidents) and serendipitous connections are also happening. They are so uplifting that it feels like I am being carried along toward my next door. Most of the time it’s a delightful adventurous ride as long as I keep moving forward by taking the next step.
Are you between doors? What’s showing up in your hallway? Are you remembering to tap your way around and through the boxes? When I do, it really helps.  I also like it when I’m reminded on the radio by the Motel 6 mantra:
“We’ll leave the light on for you.”

From Ordinary to Extraordinary

Every day you make choices to either keep the life you are living or to go towards what is calling you. If current reality isn’t all that bad, there’s often not enough of a compelling reason to make a change. Some times it takes a crisis to light the fire to move ahead. Perhaps you’ve heard of or even experienced the “cosmic 2×4”.

Take a moment and recall the last time you knew you needed to make a change but you put it off until the rug was pulled out from under you. It wasn’t very pleasant was it?  But ultimately, did something better result from the changes and growth you experienced? What if you begin to consciously move toward what you want even if you don’t know how to get there? What if you simple agree to step out one small step at a time?

If you begin to leave the “not so bad” ordinary behind, the extraordinary begins to opens up. There is now an opening for the unseen to begin to come into form. At times it’s magical and other times it’s like being in a void. But when the magic happens, when you know you are being guided from within, the results are extraordinary. There is exquisite beauty in this process.

The more you step out following your inner guidance system (as best you can) the more frequently something wonderful happens. Before you know it, you are more and more living the life that is waiting for you. It seldom happens all at once but emerges in incrimental shifts and changes.

Instead of holding on to what is, are you are willing to let go even a little and embrace what could be? A small shift is just the beginning for remarkable (another name for miraculous) consequences. Are you ready for extraordinary living as you actively create the satisfying life you desire?

Many years ago, I made a choice to follow my inner guidance system. Though it hasn’t always been easy, I can honestly say I have lived what may on the outer appear to be an ordinary life in a most extraordinary way. I’m so glad I did! I’m living the life of my dreams more and more. It’s now my joyful purpose to support others is making this same empowering choice.

Spring Cleaning From The Inside Out

Did you know that taking time to tend your inner garden enhances all other aspects of living a full life?

The more you clear the inner cobwebs, emotional debris, and tangled beliefs that are dragging you down and shadowing everything you are currently experiencing in your life, the more outer demands will shift in their sense of urgency and difficulty. As a result, you will be less reactive and more consciously responsive. You will see new opportunities, make better choices, and take “inspired” actions because you are free of the mental and emotional baggage you are currently carrying around with you.

EFT or Meridian Tapping is a tool of compassion that results in feeling happy to be you. Yet, some of you may still not be getting the results you want in some areas of your life. The secret to any energy shifting tool is in using it “with passion”. That’s what the literal meaning of com-passion is all about.

So what is passion and how do you combine it with tapping? Passion is a particular quality of energy that is found in the core of you, not in your head. It has a unique vibrational signature that is: ONLY ACCESSED WHEN YOU TUNE INTO THE TRUTH OF HOW YOU ARE FEELING inside.

Where most of you get off track using tapping is focusing on “I don’t know what to say” rather than getting really clear about how you are actually feeling. I understand why you would do that. IT’S UNCOMFORTABLE! IT’S INTENSE! YOU WOULD RATHER AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. And that’s often where the process bogs down.
Now the good news is, you don’t have to go to the highest extreme before you can begin to decrease the discomfort. It’s more important to get an accurate feeling state and begin the tapping there. You can fine tune the frequency by focusing clearly on the nature of your feeling. Then the tapping will be much more productive. It’s easier to do this than you might think.
The Eskimos’ have over 100 names for snow. Your feeling/emotions are just as diverse. Find the emotion that most closely matches how you’re really feeling and the results will come about sooner and more efficiently. For example for the generic emotion of anger, there are dozens of variations, each with a unique vibration or frequency. Learn to recognize the one that is vibrating within you related to the problem and then tap on it. Adjust as you go along. There may be more than one for each situation.
I have compiled short lists of related feeling states for 8 of the most commonly identified emotions that I teach my clients. Here’s a sample for one of them.
ANGER: Obstinate, Critical, Enraged, Impatient, Naughty, Attacking, Boiling, Defiant, Irritable, Mad, Offended, Resentful, Resistant
The next time you do a tapping round for something to do with anger, ‘try on’ some of these alternative emotions. You’ll know immediately if it’s a match for how you are truly feeling. Once it’s acknowledged and released through tapping, then you return to your natural state of peace or happiness. Just like the Dali Lama said you would.

Combining EFT with Ho O’ponopono

Combining meridian tapping (EFT) with the Hawaiian prayer Ho O’ponopono often can clear up an issue that is particularly resistant to change or that seems to reappear.
Based on the principle that you and I are the creators of our reality, by using love, forgiveness and acceptance, the magnetic energy surrounding a problem can be emotionally and energetically neutralized. Once that takes place you can more effectively create a new current reality.
Recently when working with a coaching client, it seemed appropriate to use this power combo while the client was emotionally in touch with a “problem” that had been manifesting in her life for years. She had made progress in detangling it, but it was still present enough to be getting in the way. Using open ended questions and intuition, a first chakra fear surfaced: ‘if she really was as successful as she wanted to be, she would be shunned by her family and friends.’
Once she accepted that this unconsciously held belief was resonating within her, it seemed like an ideal time to combine tapping with Ho O’ponopono. I had her say the prayer with the intention of speaking to her self.
So tapping through the 8 shortcut points, a noticable shift occurred that both of us felt. If you want to try it for yourself, follow this simple process. Remember to take full responsibility for your own inner healing journey as you do this work.
Tapping on the Karate Chop point: “Even though I vowed never to do anything that would cause my tribe to shun me, like being really successful, I realize this vow no longer serves me and the gifts I choose to bring to the world. It’s OK for me to prosper for providing these gifts.”
